Advanced art II
First project is to gather your art work and look it over and construct a theme for your work for this year Please read this article

Advanced art I

First project:
    1. Self directed project
    2. Create a drawing that uses at least three resources images to tell a story

Rubric
General rubric to be handed in with all projects filled out




Deadline for all advanced art students December 22nd 2014 you must complete the following;
    1. Mat one piece of art work
    2. Register on the scholastic website National Scholastic On-line Registration website.
    3. Register the matted piece and print out TWO copies of the form (make sure you have a rough estimate of entire mated piece measurement)
    4. Make sure a parent signs form if you are not 18 by December 20 th 2013 (you may sign the form if you are 18 by that date)
    5. Tape forms to the back of your piece making sure that the form faces the direction you want the piece hung. One form taped all the way around and one taped across the top ONLY
    6. Make sure that you write with a sharpie in the upper Right hand corner Tully Junior Senior High school and 315-696-6235 (make sure it is legible)

      USE WHITE colored pencil if you have a back mat

If you complete everything on this list by the due date you will receive a 100 for the assignment if you don't it is a 0 This assignment is about learning to make a deadline and you have month and half to complete it.

    1. You will create a charcoal drawing (you may use a grid) that combines at least two images that tells me something about your self.
    2. You will need to get at least two images and thumbnails to be reviewed by me by Thursday September 16th.

Advanced Art II
    1. Collect pieces of art work that you have created last year start making an assessment as to what you may need to complete your portfolio. You can do this by checking out this form
    2. Start thinking about what project you would like to propose to do to add to your portfolio
    3. Once you have decided what pieces you need, please make an appointment with me to review your portfolio by Wednesday September 15th
    4. Please be ready to explain your project and show me how you have applied the rule of thirds as well as some thumbnail sketching. If terms don't seem familiar please check out these links

How to edit images In Photoshop

1. upload images from camera
2. start by opening Photo Shop and and your image
3. Crop image using crop tool on the tool palette to the left (see below)
4. Image ->Adjustments -> exposure Move bars as little as possible
5. Image-> Image size-> change resolution to 72 and take longest measurement under document size an reduce it to 6 inches
7. Save image as so you keep the original
